The Library Legacy Capital Campaign
Our Library Foundation is a diverse group of individuals united by their love of reading, life-long learning, and their sense of community service. Immediately after our foundation received its non-profit status in 2004 we began a capital campaign to expand the children’s area at the main Klamath County library.
After we successfully completed this project (grand opening in April 2009), our next capital campaign was to build a 1,900 square foot Bonanza Branch Library as an addition to the existing community center. Our goal in this project was to improve the reading and learning experience of the residents served by the Bonanza Branch Library. The Bonanza Branch addition opened in October 2010.
Now we are focused on providing a new home for the South Suburban Branch Library. This branch is currently in a leased storefront space in the Town & Country Shopping Center. The current space is inadequate for the high usage that this branch receives, and we are looking to help the Library District purchase and renovate a building that will better serve the community.
Read on and find out how you can help the Klamath County Library continue to provide valuable educational, informational, cultural and recreational services to your community!
